Look at what's hot right now

The wedding season is well and truly underway, and many brides and grooms to be will be putting the finishing touches on the preparation process. If you're one of these lucky couples and you haven't yet sorted your lighting, you may want to consider some unique and creative ways to illuminate your special day. Wedding lighting trends are constantly changing and updating, so take a look at what's hot right now.

Industrial effects with bare bulbs

The current interior design trend for industrial-style interiors, like concrete floors, sparse decorations and a muted palette of grey and white, has seen a rise in more simplistic, bare-bones style lighting. One subtle way to incorporate this at your nuptials is by stringing a mix of Classic Gold and Gold Pencil Pendants from the ceiling. Individual bulbs in isolated areas can make a real impact, and provide an interesting point of difference from more traditional wedding style lighting.

Also, try large Gold Crystal Pendants for a dramatic effect, or think vintage chic with old-timey Edison long bulbs to produce a golden glow.

Indoor outdoor flow

Bringing the outdoors in, and vice versa is a popular wedding trend that can be effected by adding select lights to areas.

Turn indoor venues into starry skies at night by turning off the main lights and lighting up the ceiling with a sprinkling of softy glowing fairy lights, perched high on the roof. This is particularly effective during the more romantic moments of the procession, such as slow dances.

Alternatively, make your outdoor venue feel like a ballroom by hanging French Basket Chandeliers in the trees and utilising plenty of party lights to add visibility and ambience to your setting. Adding lanterns strung from trees and strategically spaced spotlights will help to instantly transform outdoor areas into magical wedding venues.

Traditional Chandeliers

Old-school glamour is making a comeback in a big way, and the easiest way to introduce it at your event is by installing a traditional chandelier above the dining room or dance floor. These positively ooze class and will look as fabulous hanging above the table to highlight the centrepieces or suspended from the ceiling of a hall.
